Chad Johnson rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns to lead Concordia (Moorhead) to a 45-0 MIAC victory over Hamline on Saturday in St. Paul.

Johnson, a senior from Glyndon, Minn., became the Cobbers' all-time leader in career touchdowns. He went into the game tied with former Cobber Brett Baune with 34 touchdowns.

Johnson. a 6-1, 210-pound senior fullback, scored on a 6-yard TD run in the first quarter to give the Cobbers, ranked No. 23 by D3football.com, a 13-0 lead.

The Cobbers, who led 17-0 at halftime, broke the game open in the third quarter when they scored three touchdowns in a span of 7 minutes, 46 seconds.

Johnson scored two of those touchdowns — on runs 26 and 45 — in a five-minute span to extend the Cobbers' lead to 37-0. He now has 12 rushing touchdowns this fall.

"He doesn't look like a fullback," Cobbers coach Terry Horan said in a pregame interview. "He's that more complete fullback because he can house-call it, like right now. I don't think we've had anybody who can do that."

Johnson averaged 11.8 yards per carry on his 13 carries as the Cobbers (5-1, 3-1 MIAC) rushed for 392 yards.

The Cobbers defense limited the Pipers to 124 yards in offense.

St. John's 35, Carleton 0: Max Jackson's 55-yard interception for a touchdown highlighted a strong defensive effort by the Johnnies in Northfield. Jackson's interception in the first minute of the second quarter gave the No. 8 Johnnies a 13-0 lead. The Johnnies (6-4, 4-1 MIAC) limited the Knights to four first downs and 70 yards of offense. Dusty Krueger rushed for 106 yards and two first-half touchdowns and Jackson Erdmann threw two TD passes in the second half for the Johnnies, who rushed for 222 yards.

St. Olaf 22, Augsburg 20: The Oles limited Augsburg to 125 passing yards and forced five turnovers to hold on for the victory in Minneapolis. Augsburg went into the game with the most passing yards (1,305) and TD passes (13) in conference games, but the Oles intercepted two passes and limited the Auggies to just 10 completions in 25 attempts. Khayleb Willis rushed for 144 yards and a TD to lead the Oles (3-3, 2-2), who surpassed their victory total of last season with their first victory over the Auggies since 2011. The Oles were 2-8 overall and 1-7 in the MIAC last year.

Bethel 24, Gustavus 3: Joel Koenecke's 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown sparked the Royals past the Gusties, in St. Peter, Minn. After Gustavus had driven 69 yards in 16 plays to pull within 7-3 on a 29-yard field goal, Koenecke returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown, which gave the Gusties a 13-3 lead. Hayden Foote rushed for two TDs for the Royals (3-4, 3-2 MIAC). Bethel's defense forced the Gusties to punt six times and stopped the Gusties on downs on their three fourth-quarter possessions.
