Hilton Minneapolis named Kenneth Jarka general manager. Jarka was hotel manager for New York Hilton Midtown and was vice president of hotel operations at Mohegan Sun, a casino hotel in Connecticut.

Harris Cos., St. Paul, named Michel Michno president of construction. Michno was chief operations officer for CH Holdings and worked for Enclos Corp.

Fredrikson & Byron, Minneapolis, named Ron Garber shareholder. Garber joined the firm in 2010 and played basketball for the University of Michigan. He serves as chairman of the Minnesota chapter of J Street and received the Twin Cities Cardozo Society's 2014 Arthur T. Pfefer Memorial Award. Fredrikson & Byron also named Katherine Ilten, John Kapacinskas, Paul LaVanway, Zachary Olson and Mark Tranovich shareholders.

Friendship Academy of the Arts, Minneapolis, named Charvez Russell executive director. Russell was a teacher at the school and worked for Cityview Community School in Minneapolis.

Bay & Bay Transportation, Rosemount, named Justin Johnson vice president of sales. Johnson joined the company in 2006 and most recently was director of sales.

Minnesota Medical Association, Minneapolis, named Dan Hauser director of communications, education and events. Hauser was senior manager of media relations and communications and worked for Xcel Energy and Skyway News.

Medica Research Institute, Minnetonka, named Glenn Flores distinguished chair in health policy research. Flores held leadership positions at the University of Texas Southwestern and Children's Health System of Texas. He is director of the Research in Academic Pediatrics Initiative on Diversity and was a member of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.

Knock, Minneapolis, named Reggie Reyes vice president of brand experience. Reyes held leadership positions at Target Corp. and Hallmark Cards.

PR Caffeine, Burnsville, named Zach Coulter client account manager. Coulter was a customer experience and social media manager at the Window Geeks and is a stand-up comedian.
