Fredrikson & Byron, Minneapolis, named Robert Hamilton chief operating officer. Hamilton joined the firm in 1994 as its chief financial officer. Fredrikson & Byron also named Julie DuBois chief financial officer. DuBois was head of corporate strategy for RBC Wealth management and worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Spong, Minneapolis, named Sheldon Clay creative director and partner. Clay was group creative director at Carmichael Lynch and has been with the agency for more than 25 years. Spong also named Eric Hausman principal. Hausman was a senior group manager of public relations at Target Corp. and worked for Deloitte Consulting in New York.

Burns & McDonnell named Steven Schmidt senior project manager and transportation department manager for its Burnsville location. Schmidt joined the company in 2008 and was a project manager at the Kansas City, Kan., headquarters.

Big-D Construction named Kelly Hyvonen preconstruction director for the Minneapolis office. Hyvonen has been with the company for more than 16 years. He has worked for Sage Estimating in Portland, Ore., and was a construction manager for Habitat for Humanity.

NTH, Minneapolis, named Anna Coskran, Renee Kirscht Rascher and Paul Johnson principals.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Minnetonka, named Greg O'Stean chief development officer. O'Stean was a managing director for Piper Jaffray & Co. in Atlanta and led a division of the hospitality investment banking team. He worked for Access Point Financial, GE Capital, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels Group and Ernst & Young.

Northwestern Health Sciences University, Bloomington, named Leslie Bronk vice president of operations/chief operating officer. Bronk held leadership positions at Capella University, Bank of America and Prudential Home Mortgage.

Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato, Minn., named Gene Pfeifer president, effective July 1. Pfeifer was president of St. Croix Lutheran Grades 6-12 and was professor of education and director of clinical experiences at Martin Luther College.

New Perspective Senior Living, Eden Prairie, named Lore Brownson senior vice president of quality services and chief compliance officer. Brownson was vice president and chief counsel for Kindred Healthcare and before obtaining her law degree she was a registered nurse for 10 years.

Himle Rapp & Co., Minneapolis, named Rita Beatty and Brad Robideau senior account executives. Beatty worked for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Twin Cities Public Television, KARE-TV and Frozen Feet Films. Robideau was a media relations manager for the Center for Victims of Torture.
