Carlson, Minnetonka, named Brad Hall chief financial officer and treasurer. Hall joined Carlson in 1998 and was the interim CFO since August 2012. He has lead Carlson's treasury, strategic planning, investment analysis and risk management activities and directly led and advised on loan transactions totaling more than $2.5 billion. He received his master's degree from of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

Unity Hospital, Fridley, named Helen Strike president. Strike most recently worked for Navigant in Chicago and was the chief nursing officer at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul and Fairview Ridges Hospital. She was the director of cardiovascular clinical services at Regions Hospital and is a graduate of the University of Toronto.

Comcast named Jeff Freyer regional vice president of the Twin Cities region. Freyer joined Comcast in 2007 and most recently was vice president of sales for the Northeast division of Comcast. He has held leadership positions with MCI, TelCove, Level 3 and AT&T Solutions.

On the move

Lindquist & Vennum, Minneapolis, named Tom Hoffman partner in the firm's financial restructuring and bankruptcy practice group. Hoffman was an in-house attorney at Wells Fargo & Co. and most recently managed an attorney team handling default servicing matters. He is a former chairman of the Hennepin County Bar Association's Debtor/Creditor Committee and served as an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law and St. Thomas Law School.

United Subcontractors Inc., St. Paul, named Jim Tipperreiter vice president of sales and marketing. Tipperreiter was vice president of sales for Aquiliex Welding Services and has worked for CONAM Inspection and DuPont Automotive Finishes.

Martin/Williams, Minneapolis, named Jon Hadden vice president and director of experience design and development. Hadden is the founder of NiceUX and has worked for Space150, Syncada, Yahoo and Assurant.

Helen Strike

Margaret A. Cargill Foundation, Eden Prairie, named Elizabeth Sullivan program director for operations and directed giving. Sullivan was vice president of community investment for the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and worked for Kresge Foundation and Harper Grace Hospitals in Detroit.

The Bailey Group, Golden Valley, named Michael Kithcart senior consultant and executive coach. Kithcart was chief operating officer at WomenVenture and founded MK Consulting, an executive coaching firm.

BKV Group, Minneapolis, named Brady Halverson associate partner. Halverson has worked for Landform Professional Services, Edelweiss Design, Short Elliott Hendrickson and Hoisington Koegler Group.

Short Elliott Hendrickson, Vadnais Heights, named Jay Hietpas regional practice center leader. Hietpas was the director of innovative contracting at the Minnesota Department of Transportation and has worked for Mead and Hunt in Green Bay.
