On opening day I was hunting with my family in Houston County.
About 9 that morning, two shots rang out from my son Ryan's direction (on right), and then within a minute or so, I heard two more shots, this time from my son Andy's direction. Their stand locations are fairly close to one another, and I was hoping one of them at least had a deer.
Later that morning when we gathered for lunch I asked if either had gotten a deer. Andy, who lives in Cottage Grove and Ryan, who lives in St. Paul, both smiled and said they each had gotten one. Both were good bucks. They were coming from opposite directions when Ryan and Andy hit their targets.
