Damiris Dantas, the 6-4 Brazilian center drafted by the Lynx two years ago, has signed with the team and will be at training camp this spring.

She was drafted with the 12th and final pick in the first round in 2012. She is playing for Americana in the Brazilian League, averaging 12.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per game through 15 games. Dantas, 21, helped Brazil win a gold medal at the 2011 FIBA Americas Championship, played for Brazil in the 2012 Olympics in London and was a part of the bronze medal Brazil team at the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship.

The Lynx are looking for a backup to starting center Janel McCarville. Last year's backup, Amber Harris, is injured. The Lynx are also expected to bring Waltiea Rolle to camp. The former 6-6 North Carolina center was drafted in the third round last year.
