Authorities released the identity Thursday of a man missing for 10 days and whose body was found in park woods early this week in Coon Rapids.

The body of Alan L. Taylor, 31, of Coon Rapids, was found Tuesday evening near the intersection of Mississippi Boulevard and Uplander Street in undeveloped county park property, according to the Midwest medical examiner's office.

An autopsy has been performed, but the examiner's office said that determining Taylor's cause and manner of death were pending further investigation.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office has said there was "no apparent trauma" to the body.

Taylor, who lived about 5 miles north of where the body was found, was seen by neighbors Aug. 25 getting into a car at about noon. He was wearing shorts and no shirt, and there had been no activity on his cellphone or financial transaction cards, according to the Coon Rapids Police Department and the Sheriff's Office.

Taylor left his car at home. Relatives said he had never disappeared before, authorities added.

Taylor had plans to begin school this week at Anoka Technical College and was to spend the Labor Day weekend with family, the Sheriff's Office said.
