'Big Three' watch
A weekly update on Minnesotans Tyus Jones (Apple Valley, Duke), Reid Travis (DeLaSalle, Stanford) and Rashad Vaughn (Cooper, UNLV):
Jones made the cut when the midseason Wooden Award watch list was trimmed to 25 players, despite the guard's game declining in the past five games (he's averaged 5.2 points and 3.6 assists in that frame after averaging 11.3 and 5.5 in the previous 11). ... Vaughn had a chance to give UNLV a victory Tuesday, but he missed his three-pointer with two seconds left. Instead, the Runnin' Rebels fell to Boise State 82-73 in overtime.
