Her day job is with the SPCO and in that position she scours the nation for the Liquid Music Series. But Nordstrum also hustles tirelessly for her own brand, Kate Nordstrum Projects, helping existing organizations produce and host musicians. If you want to catch Accordo, the chamber group started by members of the SPCO and the Minnesota Orchestra, more than likely it was Nordstrum who set up the gig. She's a great collaborator — working with the Walker, Schubert Club, Northrop Concert Series and the American Composers Forum among others — to find a way to get the music in front of audiences.
