Best Buy Co. Saturday released information on the remaining 42 stores it plans to close this year, including a store in Rochester.

Last month, the Richfield-based retailer said it was closing 50 big box stores across the country and laying off thousands of employees as it tries to shed $800 million in costs over three years.

Best Buy said initially that five stores in Minnesota will shut down in Brooklyn Center, Edina, Hutchison Lakeville, and Rogers.

The updated list Best Buy released today includes one of its stores in Rochester, along with locations in Arizona, California, Massachusetts and 18 other states.
