A 24-year-old man from Cook, Minn., died and a second man was injured when an all-terrain vehicle they were riding on overturned Sunday night in St. Louis County, authorities said.
Jason Triska was believed to have been driving the ATV when he lost control while navigating a curve on the 7800 block of Forest Road No. 257 in Britt, Minn., just after 11 p.m.
He was found under the ATV and pronounced dead at the scene, said Sgt. Kevin Friebe of the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
Triska's passenger, identified as 23-year-old Donald Roderick, was ejected from the machine and taken to a hospital in nearby Virginia with noncritical injuries, Friebe said.
Neither of the men was wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to have been a factor, Friebe said.
The crash remains under investigation.
