Back home

Marlene Stollings will have four Minnesotans who transferred back home in the lineup this season:

Kenisha Bell, 5-9 sophomore guard: Former Bloomington Kennedy star was a five-star point guard prospect in 2014. She earned All-Big East freshmen team honors at Marquette in 2014-15.

Bryanna Fernstrom, 6-5 junior center: She left Iowa State midway through last season, while averaging 9.1 points and 6.7 rebounds in 15 games. The Center City, Minn., native isn't eligible until the Dec. 28 Big Ten opener at Ohio State, one year after her transfer.

Allina Starr, 5-10 senior guard: Averaged 3.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in 17 starts as a Gophers junior after sitting out the first half of last season, per NCAA transfer rules. The former DeLaSalle standout appeared in 20 games as a freshman at Auburn.

Whitney Tinjum, 6-1 senior forward: The former Chisago Lakes High School teammate of Fernstrom is a graduate transfer from Bradley, where she averaged 9.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 2015-16 and 11.7 points and 6.1 rebounds in 2014-15.
