Monday's morning rush hour didn't cause many problems for commuters as dry roads and few crashes helped keep traffic moving.

An early morning crash on southbound 35W at County Road 10 was the only incident that tied of traffic for any length of time. The left-lane blocking crash around 6 a.m. caused a jam that extended back to 95th Avenue in Blaine. The crash cleared about 6:45 a.m. and traffic quickly recovered.

A broken down Metro Transit bus on westbound I-394 at Hwy. 100 led to congestion from downtown Minneapolis out to Hwy. 100 between 8 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. Eastbound slowed from General Mills Blvd. to downtown Minneapolis during the 7:45 to 8:15 a.m. time period.

Elsewhere traffic flowed at near freeway speeds on mainline routes. That was a good way to start the week.

I'll be back Tuesday with more live traffic reports. As always, comments and questions about Twin Cities traffic are welcome at drive@startribune.com.
