It was a slow slog for commuters on westbound I-94 thank in part to a mid-morning crash on the ramp to westbound 394. That mishap led to a backup that extended back to Hwy. 280 with slow conditions as far back at Dale Street.

Coming in from Woodbury to St. Paul was no picnic either. Congestion led to 20 to 25-minute drives from Manning Avenue.

Southbound 35W plugged up early and remained clogged from Lexington Avenue to downtown Minneapolis. While we had no crashes on that stretch, the drive was still more than 30 minutes for most of the rush.

Crowded roads led to increased drive times on northbound 35W from Burnsville to Minneapolis and a wreck on northbound Hwy. 100 caused delays from 494 to 394 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.

The Crosstown saw heavy traffic in both directions between Cedar Avenue and Hwy. 169. That added extra time to the commute.

At present, rain is falling and roads could be slick. Look out for a spinout on southbound 35W just north of the Crosstown. Two lanes are blocked. Paramedics are on the scene dealing with injuries. Look out for debris in the lanes, too.

Northbound 35W is still 16 minutes from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis.
