The Thursday rush hour closes with tight conditions on southbound 494 in Maple Grove and Plymouth. Things bunch up at Bass Lake Road and remain tight down to Hwy. 7.

Southbound Hwy. 169 is crowded from Rockford Road to Minnetonka Blvd. That is 22 minutes.

Northbound Hwy. 52 continues to struggle. A jackknifed semi blocked traffic at 117th Street for more than an hour. It is now gone, but a clean up crew remains on the scene. Up ahead, a vehicle slid into the ditch near Concord Street. The result is that traffic is still thick in the area coming up from Hwy. 55.

A couple crashes remain on the system. They are westbound 394 at Wirth Pkwy. with delays beginning at Penn Avenue. The other is a on southbound Hwy. 100 at France Avenue.

Roads are starting to ice up with colder weather and high winds moving in. A motorist slid off a slick ramp from southbound Hwy. 169 to westbound Crosstown in Edina.
