It's been a busy morning for the State Patrol and the MnDOT Highway Helpers as they have responded to several crashes and stalls that led to big delays for many commuters.
Some of the worst delays occurred on westbound 494 from Lake Road across the Wacouta Bridge in Newport where a crash led to a big back up for nearly an hour.
I-394 had its issues too, with crashes at Hwy. 100 in both directions tying up traffic for nearly an hour between 7:45 and 8:45 a.m.
A violent crash at Hwy. 7 and County Road 7 had the intersection blocked for more than an hour. Police are still on the scene.
Things appear to be improving at this hour, but we still have some trouble spots.
- A stall blocking on eastbound 394 at Dunwoody Blvd.
- Congestion of westbound 94 from McKnight Road to Marion Street
- Northbound 35W from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis.
- Westbound 694 at Brooklyn Blvd, a crash on the right shoulder
