It was a frightening moment for a motorist on westbound 494 at Hwy. 100. Word is that a piece of concrete crashed through the windshield. The driver is off to the right shoulder, but apparently is okay.
Elsewhere the State Patrol is dealing with a crash on the exit ramp from westbound 394 to Xenia Avenue.
Heavy spots on the roads include:
Southbound Hwy. 100 from 394 to 50th Street.
Westbound 94 from Hwy. 280 to Portland Avenue.
I-694 in the work zone from Hwy. 252 to University Avenue.
Southbound 35E from the Forest Lake Split to County Road J.
Southbound 35W from Hwy. 10 to County Road 96.
