Some roads are wet, others are slushy, so use caution as you move around the metro this morning.
A co-worker gave the Drive this account of his drive from Minnetonka to downtown Minneapolis: Northbound I-494 from Hwy. 7 to I-394 was wet, but otherwise was clear of snow and slush. Eastbound I-394 from the 494/Ridgedale area to Hwy. 100 was slushy and sloppy, requiring somewhat reduced speeds, and the HOV lane was still covered in snow.
In the southeast metro, a motorist spun out and landed in the ditch on westbound Hwy. 55 at County Road 42.
Meanwhile, MnDOT is reporting our first crash of the morning. It's on eastbound I-94 in the area of Cedar and Riverside Avenues.
