The I-35W bridge over the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis will be lit to resemble a zebra on Sunday in support of Worldwide NET Cancer Day.

NET cancers, caused from rare neuroendocrine tumors (Nets).

According to Northwoods NETS, a patient support and advocacy group for those living with the tumor cancers, Nets are rare, occurring in about 35 in every 100,000 cancer diagnosis each year. That is why NETS are zebras, said Dawn Marie Peterson, a Northwoods spokeswoman.

To bring awareness to NETS, the bridge will be lit in the black and white colors of zebras.
