With the most serious charges dropped, guilty pleas were entered by two of the 12 exotic car drivers ticketed for participating in a high-speed cruise on Interstate 394 in the west metro.

Swen D. Corbin, 44, of Minnetonka, and David K. Morgan, 26, of St. Louis Park, each pleaded guilty Monday in Hennepin County District Court to a petty misdemeanor speeding count and were ordered to pay fines and fees totaling $378.

Misdemeanor charges of reckless driving, careless driving and failure to drive with due care were dropped.

Six drivers have now pleaded guilty to being in the pack, with some of the drivers topping 100 miles per hour, along I-394 on April 23, 2016. Five have won dismissals, and one case remains pending against Justin M. Krueger, 25, of Beach, N.D.

"They agreed that they were in excess of 20 miles or more over the posted speed," said attorney David Risk, speaking on behalf of Corbin and Morgan.

Risk said the two were allowed to admit to what is essentially a routine speeding ticket because "they definitely did not exceed 100 miles per hour." Among the models driven that day were Lamborghini, Maserati and McLaren.

The patrol said roughly two dozen sports cars left Morrie's Luxury Auto and sped west on I-394 between Louisiana Avenue and Hwy. 169.

The high-speed cruise occurred in moderate weekend traffic for several miles on westbound I-394, then onto Hwy. 12.
