19 Washington County athletes sign letters

Here are some of the athletes from Washington County who signed NCAA National Letters of Intent on Nov. 13, based on reports from area school athletic directors.

East Ridge: Jenna Griffith, lacrosse, Wingate University; Samantha Hammer, lacrosse, Adams State; Ryan Keenan, basketball, Pepperdine; Luke Ringhofer, baseball, South Dakota St.; Meredith Ubel, swimming, North Dakota.

Forest Lake: Emily Ramberg, gymnastics, Alaska Anchorage; Emily Peters, basketball, New Hampshire; Bailey Norby, basketball, Creighton; Mikayla Watters, softball, Wisconsin-Eau Claire; Natalie Wright, softball, Minnesota Duluth; Dan Massey, golf, St. Cloud State; Joey Vacinek, baseball, North Dakota State.

Park: Anna Keys, hockey, MSU Mankato; Sydney Lamberty, basketball, Creighton.

Stillwater: Aliza Deming, tennis, North Dakota; Stephanie Dietrich, volleyball, Michigan Tech; Kristin Erf, swimming, South Dakota State; Sydney Evensen, lacrosse, Colorado.

Tartan: Tia Elbert, basketball, Marquette.

Forest Lake coaching changes

• Joe Kunshier, a two-time state wrestling meet entrant in 1998 and 1999 for Forest Lake, replaced Billy Pierce as the wrestling coach at his alma mater.

• Jeff Wilson replaced Billy Kirch as the head football coach. Kirch, who has been reassigned within the district but will remain as an assistant coach, posted an 0-18 record in two years.
