Most recently, a huge Gaza bound aid flotilla was sent from Libya and was diverted to Egypt by Israel. The Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation, chaired by Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi, organized and sponsored the flotilla. Libya which borders Egypt could have sent its 2000 tons of aid more conveniently and directly through Egypt's border crossing to Gaza, but though prudent and economical, this action would not have had the desired political impact against Israel. Libya's record in support of terrorist groups, like Hamas, is mirrored in the Gaddafi governments assumed direct involvement in the 1988 Pam-Am flight 103 bombing, where 259 innocent passengers were blown to eternity. "Though the flight held passengers from 21 countries, the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 hit the United States especially hard. Not only because 179 of the 259 people on board were Americans, but because the bombing shattered America's sense of safety and security."- j. Rosenberg, About.com It would be understated then to say that Gaddafi's Libya is not routinely known for its benevolence. If it were, instead of aiding Gaza, it would devote its immediate attention to the hundred millions of Africans who actually are starving and in need of medical supplies. Instead, the political charade of supposed "aid" flotillas continue, and Gaza, which receives regular gifts of all real humanitarian needs from Israel, becomes more in danger of becoming a major food exporter than of starvation. Chief in hypocrisy is the UN itself, where Israel is regularly singled out for reprimand: "While the UN was founded on the highest ideals, many of its influential assemblies have turned into Ground Zero for 'lawfare' – the Arab-led assault on Israel using international law to weaken its legitimacy and international standing." Efforts to utilize international law as a blunt instrument against Israel, Neuer said, are particularly evident in the context of the Human Rights Council, a UN body based in Geneva.

"Out of some 40 resolutions adopted since 2006, more than 70 percent target Israel, while granting impunity to Hamas terror," Neuer said of the Human Rights Council. "Victims of abuses worldwide are ignored. The [HRC] currently has multiple inquiries under way against democratic Israel, yet none on massacres committed by gross violators like China, Iran, Sudan, or Kyrgyzstan."- J. Horn, WJD

To compound these offenses, European courts are routinely being serviced to prosecute respected Israeli officials and its government leaders for alleged human rights offenses. The political repercussions from this are that Israel is being robbed of the legitimate right to defend itself against enemies bent on its demise. What other nation has met with so intense an international campaign of hypocrisy as has Israel, and why do so few speak up in her defense?
