Tim Bouvine: Nishioka signing worst of awful off-season moves

The Minnesota Twins adventure into the Asian Pacific rim to find major league baseball talent seemed like a bold and potentially prosperous move when the club announced the signing of Japanese star infielder Tsuyoshi Nishioka to a three-year, $9.25 million deal this past winter, Duluth sports blogger Tim Bouvine writes in his latest post at the

. The 3rd annual Duluth Children’s Museum Bubble Festival will be held Sunday from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Clyde Iron parking lot, located at 2920 West Michigan Street in Duluth.

The Twin Cities-based puppetry group Z Puppets Rosenschnoz will perform at 1:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, and the first 200 children will receive a free t-shirt.

The popular event is a celebration for the future home of the Duluth Children’s Museum in Clyde Park. Tours of the new DCM building are scheduled for 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
