YOUR GUIDE TO THE TWIN CITIES
A smattering of traffic disruptions for construction will challenge Twin Cities motorists in the coming days.
Among the most consequential is located at the Fish Lake interchange in Maple Grove, where concrete rehab work is scheduled.
First, the ramp from northbound Interstate 494 to westbound I-94 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. In addition, the left lane of westbound I-94/I-694 will be closed overnight between 10 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.
In St. Paul, westbound I-94 between I-35E and Hwy. 280 will close for the weekend starting at 10 p.m. Friday for resurfacing. The same was done recently for the eastbound side.
In that orange-barrel breeding ground known as the Crosstown, Hwy. 62 is closing in both directions between I-35W and Cedar Avenue as crews remove the Portland Avenue bridge deck over Hwy. 62. The shutdown in the Minneapolis/Richfield area runs from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
And in St. Louis Park, Hwy. 7 at Wooddale Avenue will be closed over the same time period for work on an intersection makeover that includes a walkway and trail.
