It happened at her home in December and at a ski area on Saturday, according to the complaint.
A 30-year-old Plymouth man charged Monday is accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl, once at her home in Plymouth and later at Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area in Bloomington.
David Nguyen is charged with two felony counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct. He also is facing charges in Alabama, where he was serving in the military, in "at least one and possibly two related sexual assault cases with minors," said Bloomington Police Cmdr. Mark Stehlik.
Nguyen has known the girl for a couple of years since serving as a camp counselor, according to the criminal complaint filed in Hennepin County District Court.
On Dec. 28, Plymouth police went to the girl's home after a neighbor called about someone trying to get into the house. Police found Nguyen in the basement hiding after the girl let him in, the complaint said, adding that the two had kissed and had touched each other sexually while he was there.
On Saturday, a man at the ski area told Three Rivers Park police about two people engaged in sexual activity in the back of a car. The girl told police that she and Nguyen made plans to meet at the ski area, where they snowboarded before going to the back seat of Nguyen's car, according to the complaint.
Nguyen was being held in the Hennepin County jail in lieu of $30,000 bail and is to appear in court Tuesday, according to jail records.
