An Orono woman was killed Monday night when she was struck by several vehicles as she walked along a road in Orono, authorities said.
Lori Huddleston, 61, was hit shortly after 8 p.m. on Shoreline Drive, east of Orono Orchard Road.
Orono Police Sgt. Chris Fischer said the speed limit is 50 miles per hour, and investigators have identified up to four cars that struck Huddleston or were nearby when the she was hit and killed.
Fischer said police are still conducting interviews and couldn't say how Huddleston was struck. "I don't know if we'll ever truly know," he said.
No arrests have been made.
