Last update: November 6, 2009 - 8:18 PM

A 27-year-old Minneapolis man died Friday morning in a one-car rollover crash on Interstate 35 in Pine County, the State Patrol said.

Also Friday, authorities said a 63-year-old man from Savage who crashed his car south of Chaska last month has died.

In the Pine County crash, a 2002 Jeep two-door wagon was headed north on I-35 at about 80 miles per hour when it passed a witness at about 9:30 a.m., the State Patrol said.

The Jeep moved to the right lane, drifted onto the right shoulder and the driver overcorrected, losing control and going into the median, the patrol said. The Jeep rolled three times and stopped on the west side of southbound I-35 right under Pine County Road 43.

The driver's name was not being released Friday. He had head trauma and died at the scene, the State Patrol said.

In the other crash, John L. Holm suffered a broken neck and other injuries when his station wagon left Hwy. 41 shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, according to the State Patrol.

The car hit a sign and went airborne into trees, the patrol said.

Holm died Saturday at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the county medical examiner's office.
