Last update: November 2, 2009 - 7:50 PM

A 56-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon, when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle in Wright County and went off the road, authorities said.

Danny S. Sipola, of Clearwater, Minn., was riding north on Hwy. 24 north of Annandale when he crashed on the west side of the highway shortly before 2:30 p.m. Sunday, the State Patrol said.

Sipola was not wearing a helmet, and alcohol was detected in his system, the patrol said.
