Last update: October 21, 2009 - 8:28 PM

Police are asking for help finding a man who allegedly attacked a 17-year-old girl in Golden Valley on Tuesday evening.

The girl was taking a walk near Turners Crossroad and Lilac Drive N. at about 10:15 p.m. when a lone man drove up in a vehicle and offered her a ride. She said "no" and kept walking, but the man got out of the vehicle, came up behind her and grabbed her, according to Golden Valley police.

The teenager fought back, broke away from the man and ran to a nearby home, where police were called.

The suspect was reportedly driving a four-door navy or black vehicle.

To report information about the incident, call police at 763-593-8079 or e-mail police@ci.golden-valley.mn.us.
