CORCORAN

SEPT. 18

Burglary. A homeowner called police to report that his home on the 6300 block of Horseshoe Bend Drive had been burglarized. The front door was propped open and dogs and cash were missing.

SEPT. 28

Theft. A man from a home on the 5700 block of Chowen Avenue S. reported to police that he received a check for an item he had listed for sale on Craigslist. An individual from London mailed him a check that was significantly larger than the purchase price. The man wired the remaining money back to London and later discovered the check was forged.

SEPT. 30

Drugs. A 23-year-old Edina man and a 23-year-old Savage man were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana after the vehicle they were in was stopped for an equipment violation on 64th Street and Xerxes Avenue S.

EXCELSIOR

SEPT. 14

Theft. An employee of Tommy's Tonka Trolley, 379 Lake St., reported to police that an older man came to the trolley and said he was locked out of his house. He said the locksmith had just arrived but did not have any money to pay him. The man asked if he could borrow $22 until the house was unlocked, wrote down his name, address and phone number. He never returned, and all of the information was incorrect.

MINNEAPOLIS

SEPT. 8

Assault. A drive-by shooting occurred at 21st Avenue N. and Lyndale Avenue N. Five shots were fired. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg and transported to the hospital.

SEPT. 10

Robbery. A man reported to police that he was robbed at gunpoint and hit on the head twice by an unknown male age 45 to 50. The culprit fled with $40 from the victim.

SEPT. 13

Assault. An officer heard about 15 gunshots and saw 20 to 30 people running in all directions on the 2400 block of Emerson Avenue N. A 20-year-old man was shot twice in the leg and a 26-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder. Both were non-life-threatening injuries. According to police reports, the shootings were gang-related.

MINNETRISTA

SEPT. 17

Weapons. A 37-year-old man was arrested along Kingswood Road for illegally discharging a firearm.

Miscellaneous. A resident from Wildwood Avenue called police to report a peeping tom. A suspect denied the allegations. No charges were filed.

PLYMOUTH

SEPT. 10

Arson. Someone set a portable toilet on fire on 50th Avenue and Goldenrod Lane.

SEPT. 12

Drunken driving. A vehicle was stopped on Hwy. 55 and Vicksburg Lane for traveling with its headlights off at 11:54 p.m. A 43-year-old Plymouth woman was arrested for drunken driving.

SEPT. 13

Drugs. Police responded to a report that an odor of marijuana was coming from an apartment on the 17600 block of 19th Avenue. Two adults were inside and admitted to smoking marijuana. A 28-year-old Crystal man was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana. A 35-year-old Plymouth woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

SEPT. 15

Arson. Someone burned a portable toilet on the 4800 block of Saratoga Lane.

TONKA BAY

SEPT. 14

Fire. Someone called the police to report a possible illegal recreational fire on Birch Bluff Road. Police found that the homeowner had large wooden boards and yard waste ready to burn. Police advised him he could not burn those items and to extinguish the fire.
