West metro police blotter

CHASKA

MAY 29

Driving while intoxicated. Someone called police to report that a woman was sleeping in the driver's seat of a vehicle in a parking lot at the Holiday Station on County Road 61. Employees of the store saw the woman drive into the lot a short time earlier. Officers awakened the woman, and she said she thought she was in the state of Georgia, police said. The 45-year-old woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

CORCORAN

MAY 31

Fire. An officer was called to the 19300 block of Schutte Road regarding a fire. The officer saw a small fire on the roof of a home. The Rogers Fire Department extinguished it.

EDEN PRAIRIE

MAY 22

Burglary. Ping golf clubs were stolen from a home on the 8000 block of Waldorf Court. They were valued at $2,500.

Theft. A man from the 5400 block of Stauder Circle called police to report a theft. He said someone had called him and claimed to be his grandson. The caller asked the man to wire money to bail him out of jail. He wired $9,758.99 and later discovered it was a scam.

MAY 27

Burglary. Golf clubs valued at $3,195 were stolen from an unlocked garage on the 5600 block of Woodcrest Drive.

MAY 31

Fire. Police responded to a report of large amounts of smoke and fire under a bridge at Hwy. 169 and Londonderry Drive. Someone had set a couch on fire under the bridge.

EXCELSIOR

MAY 26

Disturbing the peace. Police responded to a call regarding loud music coming from an apartment on the 400 block of Second Street. The caller also reported a man was yelling, glass was breaking and three firecrackers had been ignited. A 31-year-old man was cited for disturbing the peace.

Theft. A lawn mower was stolen from the yard of a home on the 600 block of Third Avenue.

JUNE 8

Burglary. Someone reportedly used a rock to break a bedroom window and enter a home on the 6100 block of Eagle Lake Drive. Jewelry and several bottles of alcohol were stolen.

MINNETRISTA

JUNE 1

Disturbing the peace. Someone called police to report loud farm equipment operating along Turtle Road. The noise was coming from fans used to dry crops.

JUNE 3

Theft. Beer and wine coolers valued at $95 were stolen from a concession stand along County Road 110W.

PLYMOUTH

MAY 21

Theft. Someone stole a gazing ball from the flower garden of a home on the 14900 block of 18th Avenue N.

Theft. A bicycle was stolen from the garage of a home on the 2700 block of Medicine Ridge Road. The overhead garage door was left open.

Theft. A paddle boat was stolen from the back yard of a home on the 2200 block of Walnut Grove Lane N.

MAY 24

Disorderly conduct. Police responded to a report of an irate person at Domino's Pizza, 1115 Vicksburg Lane N. The woman had called the restaurant to order a pizza and wanted every topping they had on it, according to police reports. She was advised that was not possible. She then went to the store and demanded they make the pizza, and she refused to leave, police said. The woman left after an officer spoke with her.

SHOREWOOD

MAY 26

Theft. St. John's Church in Excelsior reported that 12 planters were stolen from Resurrection Cemetery, 555 Covington Road. The planters were valued at $600.
