West metro police blotter

EDEN PRAIRIE

MAY 1

Theft. Tires and rims valued at $8,165 were stolen from Metropolitan Ford, 12790 Plaza Drive.

MAY 8

Burglary. Two computers, a camera and miscellaneous items were stolen from a home on the 15400 block of Trillium Circle. The residents were home sleeping at the time of the burglary.

Burglary. A Dodge Caravan was stolen out of the garage of a home on the 9000 block of Buckingham Drive. The residents were home asleep at the time of the theft.

EXCELSIOR

MAY 5

Property damage. Someone put pennies, leaves and sticks in the coin slots of several parking meters at Excelsior Commons Park, 201 Lake St.

MAY 18

Property damage. A woman returned home and found a note on her door from roofers stating that, by mistake, they had pulled some shingles off the roof of her home on the 3300 block of County Road 92 N. The roofers discovered they were at the wrong house and said they would come back later to speak with her.

MAY 20

Animal found. Someone found a peacock in the yard of a home on the 2300 block of Old Post Road. The owner of the peacock has not been located.

MINNEAPOLIS

MAY 5

Robbery. A 12-year-old girl was pushed down and had her new shoes stolen on the 3300 block of Penn Avenue N. The suspect is a 15-year-old girl.

MAY 25

Burglary. Officers responded to a burglary in progress at Estes Funeral Home, 2210 Plymouth Av. N. A door located at the back of the building had been forced open. A K-9 unit checked the building and located a suspect hiding in one of the funeral home's vehicles. A 34-year-old man was arrested.

MAY 15

Drunken driving. A 16-year-old Minnetrista girl was pulled over for erratic driving on Hwy. 7. She was arrested for driving under the influence and three passengers were cited for underage alcohol consumption.

MAY 19

Drunken driving. A 46-year-old Minnetrista woman was pulled over for speeding on County Road 44. She was arrested for driving under the influence. She had two children in the vehicle with her.

PLYMOUTH

MAY 1

Property damage. A woman called police because she heard a crash and saw two boys going through the window of an elementary school on the 18000 block of Medina Road. The boys, ages 13 and 14, told police they were playing catch with a rod and accidentally broke the window. Their parents were notified and the boys will pay for the window.

MAY 2

Drunken driving. Police observed an unoccupied vehicle parked in a no-parking zone on 34th Avenue. A man was lying in the grass near the vehicle. The 32-year-old man said he pulled over to sleep. He was arrested.

MAY 5

Indecent exposure. A woman called police to report that as she was driving past a man on 6th Avenue and Vicksburg Lane, he pulled down his shorts and exposed himself. The woman stated she was unsure if it was intentional. The man said he had been running and had adjusted his clothing, but didn't think he had exposed himself.

MAY 7

Burglary. Police were called to a burglary of an occupied home on the 4600 block of Dallas Lane N. The residents work from home and they had left their garage door open. A masked man entered and ordered the homeowners to the floor at knifepoint. There were four or five more masked men in the garage. The suspects fled after one of the victims called 911.

SHOREWOOD

MAY 17

Missing child. Police received a call of a missing 3-year-old girl on the 20600 block of Parkview Lane. The girl was found a short time later. She was with her father, who had taken her to the store.
