CHASKA

APRIL 27

Miscellaneous. A woman from Drexel Avenue in Jordan brought an artillery shell from the World War II era to the Chaska Police Department. She had found it in a box in the garage of her home and wanted to know how to dispose of it. The shell appeared to be unspent and the primer was still intact. Due to the unknown condition of the device, an officer from the Bloomington Police Department bomb squad responded and took possession of the device. The officer indicated the shell was likely still live.

APRIL 28

Disorderly conduct. Police were called to a convenience store near Hwy. 41 and County Road 61 regarding a disorderly man. An intoxicated man was asking inappropriate questions of a sexual nature to several people in the store. Officers located the man after he had left the store. The 47-year-old man said he was drunk and acting stupid. A breath test result indicated he had a 0.23 blood alcohol content. He was placed in a detox facility.

CORCORAN

APRIL 29

Missing child. Police responded to a report of a missing child on the 7800 block of Maple Hill Road. A 4-year-old girl had run away from home. The child was located and an officer spoke with the child and her mother about the dangers of running away.

MAY 5

Child found. Police responded to the 7800 block of Maple Hill Road regarding a report of child who had been found. Police found that the 4- or 5-year-old child had been dropped off by a bus company but should have been taken to a day care center on Abilene Lane. The officer took the child to the day care center.

DEEPHAVEN

APRIL 15

Warrant. A man came in to the Deephaven City Hall, 20225 Cottagewood Road, to apply for a permit to peddle. It was found that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to jail.

EDINA

APRIL 25

Underage drinking. Two 17-year-old boys from the 5100 block of Ridge Road were arrested for underage consumption and curfew violations after officers responded to the area on a 911 hang-up call.

APRIL 30

Theft. Someone stole a business sign worth $100 from the Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Clinic, 3625 65th St. W.

Theft. A rabbit lawn ornament was stolen from the 3700 block of West 61st Street. A ransom note was left in the victim's mailbox.

EXCELSIOR

APRIL 22

Property damage. Police received a report that someone had jammed leaves and sticks into the coin slots of the parking meters at Excelsior Commons Park.

MAPLE GROVE

APRIL 24

Theft. Someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a home on the 13200 block of 94th Avenue and stole a global positioning system and a blood sugar testing meter.

MEDINA

APRIL 18

Animal found. A man called police because he had found a dog and placed it in his car near County Road 19 and Sycamore Road, and it had become stuck beneath the brake pedal. It was eventually freed and impounded. The dog was later released to its owner.

MINNEAPOLIS

APRIL 28

Assault. A 38-year-old woman was shot in the face while sitting in a vehicle on the 2700 block of Oliver Avenue N.

APRIL 26

Animal complaint. Police responded to a call of a loose cow along County Road 26. They herded the cow back to its pen.

APRIL 28

Theft. Someone entered a concession stand along County Road 110W and stole $70 worth of energy drinks. Other items had been tossed about the stand.

MAY 1

Civil dispute. A 17-year-old boy from the 900 block of Pheasant Lane called police to say his father was depriving him of his cell phone. The boy left his cell phone at his grandfather's house and wanted his father to pick it up. The father refused. It was determined to be a civil issue.
