YOUR GUIDE TO THE TWIN CITIES

A 31-year-old St. Louis Park man has been charged with bringing marijuana-laced brownies to work that made one woman sick after she sampled the spiked dessert.
According to the criminal complaint, Ali Teymouri, who works for a Chaska realty firm, reportedly left the brownies on the receptionist's desk, where co-workers often leave treats to share.
Teymouri apparently "mouthed" something to the receptionist, who then followed Teymouri into his office. Teymouri then told the receptionist that the brownies had "weed" in them and were for her. The receptionist told investigators that she thought Teymouri was joking.
When the receptionist returned to her desk, she found her 22-year-old daughter had sampled the brownies. The daughter said that they tasted "horrible" and that she threw her brownie away after a few bites. Soon afterward, the daughter complained she felt ill, her vision was blurred, her body was shaky and her heart was beating rapidly.
After she was taken to a hospital, a drug test revealed the presence of marijuana (THC) in her system.
Teymouri is scheduled to appear in court on April 20. The charge of providing adulterated food carries a 90-day jail sentence and/or a $1,000 fine.
Teymouri couldn't be reached for comment.
