Continued: West metro police blotter

CHASKA

MARCH 3

Drugs. Two employees of Bridge Realty, 102 North Chestnut St., baked brownies laced with marijuana and brought them to work, and they did not tell their co-workers of the ingredients, police said. One co-worker became ill and was transported to the hospital. The men, ages 32 and 35, admitted what they had done and felony charges are pending, police said.

CORCORAN

MARCH 8

Burglary. Police received a call about a garage burglary in progress on the 21000 block of County Road 30. While en route, officers were notified that the suspects' vehicle had left the scene. Officers were able to locate the vehicle on Oakdale Drive and County Road 19. Two young males were taken into custody.

EDINA

MARCH 4

Theft. A vehicle was reported missing from the driveway of a home on the 3300 block of W. 56th Street. It was later found to have been repossessed.

MARCH 6

Burglary. Police were called because someone entered Our Lady of Grace school, 5051 Eden Av., through an unlocked window and stole $800 in cash.

EXCELSIOR

MARCH 12

Miscellaneous. Someone from Noah's Ark Fish and Pet Supply, 40 Water St., called police to report finding two dead rabbits. According to police, a man was in the pet store the previous evening and bought one of the store's three Holland lop rabbits . An employee later found the other two rabbits were dead. The case is still under investigation.

INDEPENDENCE

MARCH 4

Theft. A four-wheel all-terrain vehicle was stolen from the yard of a home on the 4400 block of County Road 92.

MARCH 5

Found. A portable fish house was found in the back yard of a home on the 2000 block of Lindgren Lane. There was no name or driver's license number listed on it as required by law.

MINNETRISTA

MARCH 9

Juvenile runaway. Officers, along with a state patrol helicopter, searched for a 17-year-old girl after authorities received information that she may have fallen through the ice in a wetland area in Hunters Crest. She was located four hours later at a St. Bonifacius gas station.

PLYMOUTH

MARCH 10

Fraud. A woman on the 10100 block of Hwy. 55 met a man over the Internet and lent him $1,100. He asked her for more money and now is not communicating with her, according to police reports.

Miscellaneous. A school bus driver reportedly purchased a pack of cigarettes on the 4300 block of Peony Lane N. for a 17-year-old student. The driver was suspended from work.

MARCH 11

Theft. A man took a carton of cigarettes worth $59.32 from behind the counter at Holiday, 10100 Rockford Road. He ran outside and tried to get into a vehicle, but a female in the car would not let him in. The man then returned the cigarettes and left. The business did not pursue charges.
