St. Anthony police say they have caught the man suspected of robbing the same convenience store twice this month.
Police on Monday arrested a 32-year-old Minneapolis man in connection with the hold-ups on Dec. 13 and 23 at the Mini Mart at 3259 NE. Stinson Blvd. in St. Anthony, said Chief John Ohl.
A citizen who saw a composite sketch of the suspect helped police identify the suspect. The female victim in both robberies was then shown a photo lineup and identified the man.
Police conducted a stakeout and arrested the suspect about 10:30 a.m. when he arrived at a residence near 23rd Avenue and NE. McKinley Street. Police searched the house and the man's car, and found evidence linking him to the robberies, Ohl said.
Police say the man entered the store at closing time, displayed an 8-inch knife and demanded money.
He was being held in the Hennepin County jail.
