Vandalism. A caller reported that someone had thrown a banana at their vehicle in a parking lot in the 9100 block of County Road 101.

EDEN PRAIRIE

JAN. 6

Robbery. An unknown black male displayed a handgun and demanded cash out of the register and safe at Dollar Tree, 8040 Glen Lane. One employee was assaulted and sustained minor injuries. The suspect fled and was not found.

EDINA

JAN. 4

Theft. A 2012 Toyota Corolla and televisions were stolen from the 7300 block of York Avenue.

Drugs. A 22-year-old Eden Prairie man was arrested for possession of marijuana and open bottle following a traffic stop at Highway 62 and Xerxes Avenue. A 22-year-old St. Louis Park male passenger in the vehicle was arrested for open bottle.

Drugs. A Richfield man, 33, was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 4700 block of 70th Street.

MAPLE GROVE

JAN. 6

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of a parked vehicle that had been running for a while in the rear of a parking lot in the 15400 block of Bass Lake Road. Officers found two people in the back seat of the vehicle. Nothing criminal was occurring, but they were asked to leave.

MAPLE PLAIN

JAN. 9

Assist to public. A 61-year-old woman reported that she was locked inside her car, which wouldn't start, in the 1500 block of Howard Avenue. An officer closed the partially-open, driver-side door and had the woman pull up on the door lock. The door opened.

MEDINA

JAN. 8

Assist with vehicle. Officers located a stalled vehicle at Hwy. 55 and Pioneer Trail. The 24-year-old St. Louis Park female driver said she was fine, that her vehicle was out of gas and that her grandmother was on the way to help her.

MINNETRISTA

JAN. 5

Burglary. A kitchen sink valued at $715 was stolen from a home under construction on Hermitage Trail.

JAN. 11

Theft. Someone stole 6,000 feet of electrical wire valued at $4,700 from a storage container on Big Woods Drive.

PLYMOUTH

JAN. 2

Burglary. Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home in the 10300 block of South Shore Drive. Three 17-year-old boys and two 18-year-old men were arrested.

SHOREWOOD

JAN. 2

Drunken driving. A 16-year-old Minnetonka boy was arrested for drunken driving after his vehicle was found parked in violation of city code on St. Albans Bay Road. A 16-year-old Greenwood male passenger was cited for possession of marijuana.

TONKA BAY

JAN. 1

Domestic assault. A 23-year-old Minnetrista man was arrested for domestic assault after he allegedly threw a glass at his girlfriend's head on Sunrise Avenue.

WATERTOWN

JAN. 1

Underage consumption. A 19-year-old Mound man was cited for underage drinking and driving, possession of marijuana, open bottle and driving without lights following a traffic stop at County Road 10 and Newton Avenue.
