OCT. 30
Child endangerment. Police received a report of an intoxicated man who was riding a bicycle while pulling a child behind him in a bike carriage near Bavaria Road and Amberg Lane. Officers located the man, who reportedly was passed out in the grass near a walking path. The man's bike and attached carriage were 30 feet away, and the man's young child was still inside the carriage, along with a near-empty bottle of wine. The man told officers he was only a few blocks from his house, but officers realized he was going in the wrong direction. He was arrested and charged with child endangerment. He was placed in a detox facility and the child was safely returned home to the custody of family members.
OCT. 28
Burglary. Miscellaneous jewelry valued at $16,030 was stolen from a home on the 6000 block of Fallbrook Road. There was no forced entry.
OCT. 25
Animal complaint. A woman called police to report there was an animal in her basement window well on the 1000 block of Oak Circle. Police found an opossum and relocated it to a wooded area.
NOV. 3
Robbery. A 35-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint of $1 by two boys age 13 to 16 on the 1800 block of James Avenue N.
NOV. 3
Suspicious person. Police received a call about a man taking pictures at Linden Park. Officers arrived, and he provided proof of his employment with an area real estate company and said he was taking the photos for advertising.
Theft. Two all-terrain vehicles were stolen from a yard along Kings Point Road. The estimated value was $19,591.
OCT. 30
Weapons. A report was received of a person with a rifle in a vehicle on the 4100 block of Empire Lane. Officers found a Halloween party was taking place and the guns were fake. One individual was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana. Another was cited for fleeing police and underage consumption of liquor.
NOV. 5
Alcohol violation. An employee at Umbria Pizza, 3195 Vicksburg Lane, failed an alcohol compliance check. The employee did not request identification before completing a sale.
Alcohol violation. An employee at Rainbow Foods, 10200 6th Av., failed an alcohol compliance check. The employee did not request identification before completing a sale.
Fraud. A person on the 4100 block of Polaris Lane was scammed out of $3,970 after responding to a mail solicitation to be a mystery shopper.
Weapons. Someone was reported for allegedly shooting at ducks in his back yard on the 1000 block of Xene Lane N. Officers said the person, who actually was shooting at squirrels with a BB gun, was warned.
NOV. 1
Animal found. A dog was found sitting in the middle of Mill Street near Apple Road on Halloween night, wearing a white T-shirt with the words "Happy Halloween" on it. Initial attempts to locate the owner were unsuccessful. The dog's owner picked up the dog the next day.
