Theft. Scrap rims were stolen from the 19900 block of 75th Avenue N. Taken were approximately 30 rims valued at $3,600.
SEPT. 10
Theft. Medications were stolen from a home on the 200 block of Mill Street.
SEPT. 18
Theft. Gas was siphoned from a vehicle on the 600 block of North Van Buren Trail.
SEPT. 19
Burglary. A woman heard a noise downstairs on the 100 block of Monroe Avenue S. A screen had been cut and a television was missing.
SEPT. 21
Fraud. A woman on the 100 block of 20th Avenue S. wired $10,000 to Canada after receiving a phone call from a man she thought was her grandson. He said he was in trouble and needed the money. She found out that her grandson had not requested the money.
SEPT. 7
Suspicious person. Someone reported a person was slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle on the 6000 block of Hwy. 12. An officer found the driver had pulled over to sleep before going to work.
SEPT. 11
Attempted burglary. A homeowner on the 5000 block of Perkinsville Road found a screen removed and a porch window opened. A suspect or suspects were scared off by a large dog in the house.
SEPT. 13
Property damage. Someone reported possible trespassers were driving around the back yards of homes on the 2100 block of McDow Lane. An officer found a homeowner's daughter had allowed her guests to drive their trucks around in her backyard in the rain. The parents were out of town and were advised of the situation.
SEPT. 6
Disorderly conduct. A 56-year-old man was cited for committing an obscene offensive act from a balcony on the 5200 block of Bryantwood Drive. The suspect was charged with disorderly conduct.
SEPT. 17
Theft. A report was received regarding a person driving off without paying for gas in the 5200 block of Hwy. 12. The suspect was located and stated he had swiped his card at the pump. It was found that he had swiped the card the wrong way and it did not take the charge. The suspect returned and paid for the gas.
SEPT. 9
Fire. Police officers responded to a small grass fire on County Road 15. The St. Bonifacius Fire Department extinguished the blaze. A resident had dumped out a burn barrel, which ignited the fires.
SEPT. 14
Suspicious activity. A caller reported that someone was shooting a BB gun in the area of Phelps Bay and may have been aiming at geese. A suspect was found but denied involvement.
SEPT. 16
Theft. A resident reported three guns were stolen from his home on the 7500 block of Susan Lane.
SEPT. 6
Theft. An Edina caller reported his trailer was stolen from a driveway on the 90 block of Sunrise Avenue.
Theft. An employee of Tonka Bay Marina, 220 Tonka Bay Road, reported an attempted theft of gas from the holding tanks on the property. The pump nozzles were lying on the ground and a chain lock had been cut. No gas was taken.
