A Coon Rapids man who was previously sentenced in Anoka County for using a smartwatch to take photos of underage boys at area health clubs has also been sentenced in Hennepin County on a related felony charge.

Robert Minor, 54, was charged in March 2013 with seven counts, including one count of stalking a victim under 18 with sexual or aggressive intent, two counts of use of minors in a sexual performance and four counts of possession of pornographic work involving minors.

He pleaded guilty in May to the stalking charge. After a trial in Anoka County, he was later convicted of three counts of child pornography possession, as well as interference with privacy. He was sentenced Nov. 10 to 180 days in the Anoka County workhouse on those charges.

On Monday, Minor was sentenced to 180 days in the Hennepin County workhouse for his conviction of interfering with privacy.

He also was sentenced to 10 years' probation in Anoka County and three years of supervised probation in Hennepin County.

Minor was arrested after a 12-year-old boy told his parents about a man's suspicious behavior at the Andover YMCA in early 2013.

According to the charging documents, the boy saw a man hold his watch over a bathroom stall partition while he was changing out of his bathing suit.

Police searched Minor's house and found a watch like the one described, as well as computer files with several videos and images of child pornography.
