Bloomington man gets 6 years in prison for bank robberies

A 53-year-old Bloomington man was sentenced Monday to 6 1/2 years in prison for three armed bank robberies in less than a month in the Twin Cities area.

Along with prison time, David Lee Barnes was sentenced in federal court in Minneapolis to five years of supervised release for the robberies in Arden Hills, Minneapolis and Roseville last winter. Barnes pleaded guilty in May.
