Continued: Dayton joins Jewish community in urging Mideast peace

  • Gov. Mark Dayton drew an audience of 1,400 people during a gathering of support for Israel at Adath Jeshurun Congregation in Minnetonka on Thursday.

  • A group of more than 100 people, who were mostly pro-Israel, rallied outside the synagogue to call for peace and solidarity in the Middle East.

  • Pro-Palestinian protesters held signs across the street. Dayton assured the pro-Israeli crowd that the United States and Israel “are friends indeed.”
