EDINA

JULY 21

Theft. Employees at Cub Foods on 67th Street and York Avenue S. observed a woman conceal chicken bouillon, valued at $1.29, in a baby stroller and leave the store without paying for the item. She was arrested.

GREENWOOD

JULY 27

Suspicious activity. A report was received about a suspicious vehicle on the 4900 block of Sleepy Hollow Road in the early morning hours. Officers stopped the driver, who was delivering newspapers.

MAPLE PLAIN

JULY 14

Neighbor dispute. A report was made that a bush hanging on a fence was cut off in the 5700 block of Main Street.

MEDINA

JULY 3

Animal complaint. Cattle were reported found in a parking lot in the 4500 block of Willow Drive. A farmer was trying to round them up.

JULY 18

Suspicious activity. A resident on the 1100 block of Foxtail Drive called to complain that someone rang the doorbell and ran away. No suspect was located.

Miscellaneous. A 14-foot boat fell off a trailer as the driver crossed the railroad crossing on Medina and Railway Streets. JULY 21

Suspicious activity. A report of prowlers running through the yard and climbing a roof on the 4600 block of Mohawk Drive. Officers believed that a family of raccoons may have climbed the roof and trees.

MINNEAPOLIS

JULY 22

Arson. A fire was set to the outside rear of the Cardinal Bar on 29th Avenue and E. 38th Street. This is the second intentionally set fire at this business since mid-June. A reward is being offered leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for these fires.

MINNETRISTA

JULY 31

Miscellaneous. A motorist drove over a trench on Nike Road, which caused $2,500 in damages to his vehicle.

AUGUST 1

Drugs. A 19-year-old man was found lying along County Road 151. He was awakened and cited for possession of marijuana and underage alcohol consumption.

PLYMOUTH

JULY 18

Drugs. Officers responded to a fight at a hotel on the 2600 block of Annapolis Lane. Cocaine was found and the suspect arrested.

Burglary. A report that someone broke into a house, on the 18500 block of 38th Avenue, and stole a container of sugar. There was no forced entry to the home.

SOUTH LAKE MINNETONKA

JULY 16

Auto theft. A taxi cab was stopped for erratic driving on Water Street. Dispatch advised a taxi had been stolen from Haskell's at 1 Water St. in Excelsior. The suspect was arrested.

JULY 19

Fire. The fire alarms were going off in an apartment building on 2nd Street. A very intoxicated male had put a pizza in the oven, set it on broil, and then passed out.

Noise complaint. There was a report of a man, on the 800 block of 3rd Avenue, playing his guitar on his deck and singing.

JULY 22

Miscellaneous. A Greenwood resident requested assistance after being locked out of the house by her child. She had just told him the importance of locking doors.
