An arrest or citation means police suspect a crime has occurred; they are allegations and still must go before a judge. Items are selected from reports made to police departments and are not intended to provide a comprehensive picture of crime in a neighborhood or community.


FEB. 6

Drugs: An 18-year-old man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the 600 block of SouthWest Village Drive.


FEB. 19

Alcohol violation: A 17-year-old boy was arrested for underage possession of alcohol on the 5400 block of Valley Lane.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from a shopper at Byerly’s, 3875 Gallagher Dr.

Assault: A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of domestic assault on the 4000 block of 62nd Street.


FEB. 23

Drunken driving: A 25-year-old Excelsior man was arrested for drunken driving after his vehicle was found in a ditch along 3rd Avenue.


FEB. 1

Accident: A vehicle was found in a ditch along Hwy. 7 near Oakland Street. The driver, a Minnetonka man, said he turned onto a road that was actually a snowmobile trail.


JAN. 30

Underage consumption: Two men, ages 19 and 20, were cited for underage consumption of alcohol after one of them was found unconscious in the sauna of an apartment complex on the 3300 block of Hwy. 169.
