Fire: The Chaska Fire Department, along with several local fire departments, extinguished a fire in a two-car garage at a home on Northgate Court. The cause was likely from a lit cigarette.

Animal complaint: Two horses, wearing blankets, were reported walking on 15200 block of Halsey Avenue.

Burglary: Someone broke in and stole cash from the Hair District, 3925 50th St.

Theft: A 1997 Dodge Ram truck was stolen from the 7000 block of Washington Avenue.

FEB. 16

Disturbing the peace: A 61-year-old St. Paul man was arrested for disturbing the peace and trespassing on the 5200 block of Grandview Square.

Theft: Two girls, ages 14 and 15, were arrested after stealing $749 worth of clothing from J.C. Penney in Southdale Center.

Drunken driving: A 47-year-old Hopkins man was arrested for drunken driving after hitting a dump truck and leaving the scene. Officers located him and his vehicle in a snowbank on 6th Street S.

Fire: Two Minneapolis men, ages 23 and 55, were cited for burning prohibited material after they were caught burning a large tire in order to remove the steel on the 2400 block of Hwy. 55.

Animal complaint: A resident on the 4600 block of Foxberry Drive called police to report finding a three-legged cat.

Found: An abandoned snowmobile was found on Nike Road. It was out of gas.

Drugs: A 29-year-old Norwood Young America woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after she was stopped for an equipment violation on County Road 110.

Burglary: Electronics and tools, valued at $10,000, were stolen from a home under construction on Northview Drive.

Drugs: A 26-year-old man was cited for driving after revocation and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was stopped for a driving violation on 76th Street E. and Cedar Avenue S.

Child pornography: Officers responded to Best Buy, 1000 78th St. W., regarding child pornography found on a computer that was brought in for repair.

Burglary: A juvenile male was arrested for burglary, fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and driving after revocation on the 8100 block of Ridge Road.

Theft: A fish house valued at $10,000 was stolen from Lake Waconia.

Theft: An iPad was stolen from the 600 block of White Street SW. It was later recovered in another state.

Theft: An adult female was accused of stealing cash from her employer, McDonald's, 910 Strong Dr.
