Blake School to host informational admission events on Dec. 5 and 12

Blake School invites families to learn more about its faculty and students on Dec. 5 and 12.

From 9 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 5, families with children in grades preK-5 can explore the Highcroft campus in Wayzata. The Highcroft campus is located at 301 Peavey Lane.

From 6:30 to 8 p.m., families with preK-12 students are invited to attend a Blake community event at the Maple Grove Community Center, 12951 Weaver Lake Road.

On Dec. 12, Blake is hosting a "Making Blake Affordable" event in St. Louis Park. The event will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the St. Louis Park Library, at 3240 Library Lane.

All admissions and financial aid applications must be received by Jan. 31, 2014. Prospective families also are invited to attend a financial aid workshop at 9 a.m. Jan. 11 at Blake's Hopkins campus.

Blessed Trinity schedules St. Nicholas Party for Dec. 6

Blessed Trinity invites all preschool and kindergarten students to its annual St. Nicholas Party from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Dec. 6 at Blessed Trinity's Penn Campus, 7540 Penn Av. S. Hear the story of St. Nicholas and listen to songs sung by Blessed Trinity preschool and kindergarten students, then join eighth-graders for activities, games and prizes in the gym.

Blue Water Theatre Company to perform 'The Music Man'

Blue Water Theatre Company of Wayzata will present "The Music Man" Dec. 5-7 in Hopkins.

The show begins at 7 p.m. each evening at the Eisenhower Community Center, 1001 Hwy. 7.

Tickets are $14 for adults and $11 for students and seniors. They are available in advance online at www.bluewatertheatre.com or can be purchased at the door beginning one hour before each performance. Seating is reserved.

"The Music Man" features a cast of 41 student actors, representing Armstrong High School, Benilde-St. Margaret's School, Gleason Lake Elementary School, Hopkins High School, Minnetonka Middle School East, Orono High School, Plymouth Middle School, Wayzata Central Middle School, Wayzata East Middle School, Wayzata High School and Wayzata West Middle School.

Eden Prairie

High school's parent-teacher conferences are set for Dec. 12

Term 2 parent-teacher conferences at Eden Prairie High School are scheduled for Dec. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the south commons. Conference sign-up will again be available through an online process. Letters explaining the online sign-up process will be e-mailed to all households the second week of the term.

There also is a video tutorial, copy of the letter, and link to the scheduling site on the high school website at www.edenpr.org/ephs.

The online scheduling site is open now through Dec. 5. Once you put in your times, your schedule will be available in printable format and you can also have an e-mail reminder sent to your address.

Any household that does not have access to a computer should contact the high school at 952-975-8000 to receive a request form.
