A State Patrol officer was injured in a crash while responding to another crash in Chanhassen on Friday morning.
Trooper John Thompson of Golden Valley sustained "non-life-threatening" injuries in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Powers Boulevard and Hwy. 212 just before 8 a.m.
Thompson was southbound on Powers with his lights flashing when a northbound car driven by 17-year-old Lacey M. Raser of Chaska turned left into the squad's passenger door. The impact spun the squad into a northbound car, driven by Donald Kahaian, 44, of Eden Prairie, who had been turning right.
Raser and Kahaian were not injured.
