WEEK OF JULY 22

Underage consumption. Officers responded to a home on Crosstown Boule­vard regarding a loud party. Numerous citations were issued for underage consumption of alcohol when police found that most of the attendees were under the age of 21 and drinking.

EDINA

AUG. 16

Theft. Someone left a ring valued at $7,000 on a table in the food court at Southdale. When they returned, it was gone.

EXCELSIOR

AUG. 7

Theft. A man reported that his vehicle was stolen while he was at Jake O'Connors, 200 Water St. It was discovered that the man had miscommunication with his wife and the vehicle had not been stolen.

AUG. 11

Drugs. A 28-year-old Buffalo man and a 60-year-old Excelsior man were arrested for possession of drugs after their vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation on 2nd and Center streets.

AUG. 15

Disturbance. A 17-year-old Excelsior male was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process after causing a disturbance at Excelsior Commons park.

MEDINA

JULY 13

Missing animals. A resident from the 2100 block of Chestnut Road reported that four geese, three ducks and a cat were missing.

Animal complaint. A woman called police and was upset because there was an injured bird in the yard of her home on the 2400 block of Holy Name Drive. An officer arrived, took the injured bird and released it.

JULY 14

Animal complaint. A woman reported to police that she found a snapping turtle at Hwy. 55 and Pinto Drive, picked it up and put it in her vehicle. She drove to a swampy area and was unable to get the turtle out of her vehicle. An officer came and removed the turtle from her vehicle, and she carried the turtle to the water and released it.

PLYMOUTH

JULY 11

Property damage. A mailbox was blown up by fireworks on the 4800 block of Trenton Lane N.

JULY 13

Burglary. Copper was stolen from a building under construction on the 11200 block of Hwy. 55.

JULY 22

Burglary. Two boys, ages 14 and 15, were arrested for committing burglaries at two homes, one on the 10500 block of 52nd Avenue N. and one on the 10600 block of 52nd Avenue N.

RICHFIELD

AUG. 24

Illegal fireworks. A 38-year-old Richfield man was cited for shooting off illegal fireworks on the 6900 block of Pillsbury Avenue S.

SHOREWOOD

AUG. 2

Animal complaint. A resident from the 25600 block of Maple View Court reported seeing a bear in the woods behind his home.

AUG. 10

Residential lockout. A woman called police because she was locked out of her home and her dog was locked inside on the 5000 block of Barrington Way. She was upset when an officer told her that she would need to call a locksmith.

Animal complaint. An officer assisted a homeowner on the 5100 block of St. Alban's Bay Road in transporting a snapping turtle into a pond.

AUG. 11

Animal complaint. A homeowner from the 27000 block of Island View Road called police seeking advice on how to capture a live chipmunk that their dog had brought into the house.
