Police searching for a missing man found a body in a Shorewood home Wednesday and arrested a person in connection with the man’s disappearance.

Police released very few details late Wednesday night, hours after the house at 5700 Wood Duck Circle was encircled with police crime tape while investigators from the South Lake Minnetonka Police Department, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and the Hennepin County medical examiner’s office gathered evidence and information.

South Lake Minnetonka Police Chief Bryan Litsey said his department searched the home early in the afternoon, discovering a body in the house. The death is “suspicious in nature,” Litsey said. He said it’s not known yet whether the body police found is the man who was reported missing about a week ago.

Police said that they don’t believe the community is at risk.
