A speeding Corvette crashed into two utility poles in Eden Prairie and rolled over, killing Kyle Boline, 23, of New Hope, one of two men in the vehicle, authorities said.
Both men were thrown from the sports car, suggesting that neither was wearing a seat belt when the car left Eden Prairie Road near Kurtz Lane about 8 p.m. Thursday, police said.
The men were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where Boline died. There was no word Saturday on the survivor's name or condition.
The posted speed limit in the area of the accident is 40 miles per hour. Damage to the utility poles resulted in a temporary power failure in parts of Eden Prairie.
